I've topped all the autos I've grown. Never had any issues as far as I could tell. None off them were heavy yeilding. But still did ok

Do you guys start your auto seeds in a jiffy pellet after cracking them, or straight into your medium? I will be doing 2 Bruce banner autos after these photos finish, in canna coco pro.

 

And should they just be watered for the first week, or straight into nutes?

Also, should I mix in some perlite with the coco pro? Or leave it. Will be growing them in 15 litre pots.

I'm peat friendly so use the jiffys sometimes.

More recently I have been using the peat square pots. Filled 75% with a Cootes type mix and peat on top 25%.

 

I usually soak for 12-24 them straight into medium.

 

Not sure bout the nutes in Coco for autos right away. First week seeds got it covered no matter the medium.

 

Some people pre wet the Coco with half strength nutes iirc.

I heard jiffy peat pucks have fert in them for the first week or 2, but nothing on the website, so not sure

Anyway i went to these, heaps better, you cannot overwater them like you can with the jiffys

works out cheaper than buying jiffys by about 1/2 as well - 77 for $18
