Yep , coco n then there's coco

Just because its coco doesn't guarantee it's good

The stuff u get from Bunnings, rubbish

It's need to be buffered n in a state u can use it, soil like consistency

If it's just big chunks of coco it's useless

Nah, what medium you have now will still hold water, you could use a perlite vermalucalite mix instead as a filler

had the same problem last year, took a while, but got a good result in the end, left two plants as they where, they died

the ones that got transported came good, produced some nice buds

should of tossed them and started again, was outside in the sun, so i left them

the roots will grow into the PH inert perlite/verm and the plant will come good

Alright. Thanks for all the infornation guys. Im thinking i'll just stick to coco and perlite and keep the water going in at 5.8. Rain water here and the e.c and ppm are 0.02 and 10 respectively.

Should suite the nutes im using and i should be able to keep it pretty simple.

One thing im wandering though if using straight coco and perlite - do i really need to be watering every day? Any go to solutions if you have to be away 2-3 days?

if you use large enough pots 2-3 days isnt a bad watering schedule, I water by hand every 2-3 days unless its stinking hot. I'm using 10 litre pots 70 % canna coco 30% coarse perlite.  Tried growing in a mixture of coco and soil in the past with no real success. hope this helps

Hahahaaa Tunkers! They are coming around now maybe i should snip a few taco shells off to save for later use.

Too cold??? You say that but i've grown in england and seen of people growing in the mountains in america - both situations it can drop down to around 5c or so and they seem to make it through?

Would hate to waste 4 plants.... only got a small tent and two plants is plenty for my personal use. Planted 6 bagseed to make sure i got atleast two females - wasnt counting on 6 out of 6!!

Maybe i do some lst and flower them all together before they get too big.... hmmmm
