Hi dantheman its normal for some strains to have purple stems, trunks, pistols and flowers, the purple stems on your plant is nothing to worry about it, happy gardening,,GQ

I’d say girl but I can’t look at it in gallery,so could be wrong

Yeah its a bit hard to tell from these pics as i cant see any white hairs there yet to say for sure but the second pic definitely looks like its getting some little grow tips starting to form up there so hopefully its a girl mate, but yeah its hard to say with 100per cent certainty from these pics, good luck and happy gardening,,,GQ

Or you could make your own manure or seed sprout teas, i use a lot pond water that my goldfish have been fertilizing for me the cannas love it, sometimes i just add more compost more chook manure and dig it in a little and water in well and always make sure your manures are well aged and dont add to much, if your manures not aged make a tea with by leaving the manure to soak for a day or two than strain it and dilute it till its a slight tea colour and add to plants,lots of ways,,cheers,,GQ
