If u are putting tap water it probably has ph higher than 6.5 , if using soilless medium no nutrients can be absorbed then

Ive been wondering about this, Since they are only a week old as I understand they should be feeding themselves from seed stored nutrients yes, but how much is that internal nutrient transport really affected by pH. Clearly a cannabis plant won't develop at extreme ph but with pH 5.5-7.5 I wouldn't think they'd be affected until they began needing nutrients from the grow medium. Maybe the pH of the solution being brought up into the plants could alter the internal chemistry but I'm sure the plant would have an internal buffering system What do you reckon?

You are gunna need an E.C. meter/pen and a PH meter/pen. If money isn't an option then blue labs is the go.they do a growers kit. It will get you started.

I have a pH pen but no ec

I'll just feed gently at first and try not to overdo it, is there really a need for ec pen

Burn on the tips of leaves is most often caused by too much Nitrogen. If you are ph adjusting your tap water or nutrient solution already, then back off nitrogen or choose another medium that is inert and not already comprised of some form of N. Almost always it’s nitrogen burn.

Nutrient lookout , caused by bad ph , if your plant is pale nutrient deficiency, if I has white tips on leaves nutrient burn, if it goes really dark green too much nitrogen
