Heating a Grow tent in Winter

Recommended Posts

Good advice from Hashy re electric blanket underneath.  I use those EVA mats that go together like a jigsaw to insulate the floor.

I have 2 of those 240W, 1.2m tube heaters running 24/7 in my 1.2m tent  with my 315W CMH.

During lights on (day time) I get maximum temps of 25 degrees then down to 14-16 during lights out (at night). It's almost worth going back to the 600W HPS lol

(In country Vic here and our temps are 2 deg minimum to 15 maximum on average at the moment and my tent is in an unheated room of our house.)

I think the 600W oil heater would be more effective if you have room for it.

Hi mate i was having the same problem With temp. Bunnings has a heat panel its just a thin piece of stone very light but heats up the tent perfectly $50 + that inkbird temp controller $50 and the girls will never be cold again.

Could you take a photo of that Bunnings heat panel so I know what to look for budboy

I use a Aquarium / Fish tank heater in my rez. Keeps the root bundle warm.

Have read somewhere that up to 15 degs drop from day to night is acceptable for the plant itself.

Cool idea knarfman.. what temp do you set your heater to ?

This is that heater i was saying + that inkbird temp controller that turns the heater on when it gets below 20 degrees and it turns on a extra fan ir it goes above 25 degrees. And a 100w aquarium heater that cost me $35 to keep my water temp at 19 degrees.

Thank you budboy a mate having trouble keeping temperature up.
