LST is great, it works heaps good & younger the better,  u may be a bit late , but youll still get a bit .......as for mulch, it really doesnt matter what you use , but anything like straw of some sort will also harbor , bugs, just be aware...........good luck

I think each plant last season at their peak where drinking 15l every two-three days. But so far this year things aren't as big so going through that much every 4-5 days. Plus the weather has been more favorable
