Yes, you can but you need to put the plant back into a 18/6 light timing so it reverts back into its vegetative state or what we call reveg

I have done this previously, solely for the purpose of taking clones. Some people reveg and then go 12/12 but the resulting buds tend to be no where near the quality nor quantity of the initial flowering imo

Hmm, so you put the plant back under lights, re-veg it and then take clones? My plan was just to take some small cuttings from larger branches or the bottom node and clone from that, although one if the buds on the bottom node had some grey mold I had to remove, I'm not sure how that would affect it's ability to grow. I'm not sure it's going to fit into the tiny box I have... It's just two storage containers, one over turned on the other. When you re-veg your plants, how much of the plant do you leave?

You remove ALL bud, but leave some leaf. If you leave bud it can go mouldy and you must leave some leaf so the plant can feed from the light it's receiving.

When I grow I strip the undergrowth back to the stem prior to going 12/12

For me to be able to leave some leaf is not easy, but when planning on revegging I make sure I remove all the bud at the height of my steel SCROG net without removing the leaf. As I said I only revegged to obtain clones. This is partially because by the time I reveg from the height of the SCROG net, I still have the growth splurt from my last 12/12 on the plant. If I was to take the plant to bud I would have twice the growth splurt to deal with and those new buds would be burnt by my lights.

Hmm, I might give it a go then. I found a link that suggests cutting the roots back too, I'm guessing it's not absolutely necessary though? Surely it must stress the plant a whole bunch too? http://www.thctalk.com/cannabis-forum/showthread.php?60420-A-Guide-To-Cloning-amp-Revegging-Flowering-Plants

How'd you get your plant to branch out so much. That's crazy.

Hey Miffy,

Yes, some people trim the roots also, but I don't because I am not revegging to rehead/reflower but only as a means to take new clones. Because of this I do not need to trim the rootzone to allow for more room in my pots for the additional roots that develop if/when taking the plant thru the budding cycle again

As I am restricted by height I do not want a xmas tree shaped plant so I SCROG to reduce the upward growth and this is what I do:

When the plant is established and under my HID lights I pluck the centre growth from the plant. This slows down the upward growth and forces the plant to push its growth laterally. It also divides that one growing shoot and makes 2 shoots, doubling the budding points. I then train all of this growth UNDER my SCROG net. I say 'UNDER' because in the past I have weaved the growth thru the net, but, come harvest it is an absolute bitch to remove the buds. So DO NOT weave it thru the netting.

I have, once, revegged and reflowered, but the results were far, far from pleasing and I will never do it again. From the initial flowering I got approx. 18oz of primo, nice dense bud, from the reveg/reflower I was lucky to get 1/2 of that quantity and for me the bud was nowhere near as dense. Now I grow for my medical needs and although many growers only flower for 8weeks, I flower for 13weeks. This gives me a heavier, more narcotic stone. But it also gives me a bigger root mass. So revegging regularly is a waste of time for me. Others may disagree, but for me it doesn't meet my requirements

Hope it helps
