Recommended Posts

ok so 4 of my 6 clones rooted i expected two to die but check this out look how the leaves are twisting under the LED grow light

what do u think is causing it?

all 4 clones rooted as usual than planted into small pots as i normally do

now they are under a 85w CFL to see if they turn around seems only 1 clone is uneffected

They look to me like you took the clones after they started to flower, hence the little buds in top.

If this is so then I wouldn't worry its just the process of going from flower back to veg.

Some say you get better clones if taken in flower as the root system develops quicker.

Here is an article on it with some of your pictures in it ;))

thanks mate they are rooted was more of a Q for the twising of the leafs

Ahoy 68.

Looks like some nute burn and maybe a pH issue\fluctuation on the crinkly leaved plants. What medium and what pH are you feeding at matey?

ah i cant remember something between 5.2-6 what i did was i flushed the coco with clean PH'ed water than once it was flushed i planted the clones than ran 200mls of 1/4th strength nutes thru the pots just to give them something to eat

im using coco 100%, ive done as previously done allowed the clones to root and each jiffy pellet had from 3-7 roots poking out than i planted them so i think they were ok to harden off but not the two that died

just weird why the leaves are twisting, they were under a LED light which i think could be the problem but its not the same problem i had before with the doners of these clones

maybe its the sudden switch to the LEDs?? could you possibly setup the CFL and LEDs at the same time and gradually transition to the LEDs?

hey BD, one of the 300w LED lights will illuminate the whole tent enough it will overpower the CFL so it might be pointless, ive gone back to CFL as mentioned so ill see how they are looking now if they have improved im ditching the LED's and getting a 250-300w CFL
