How to deal with the munchies

I know this will be begging for humorous replies, and I will enjoy reading them, but it is a serious question as this is an aspect of cannabis use that can have a negative medical impact, just hope this is the appropriate section for it.

 

Does anyone have any advice or knowledge on ways of combatting/avoiding the munchies, preferably not involving pizza and a crate of Tim Tams. 

 

I'm not proper overweight, but I am dr advised overweight and struggling to maintain my level, let alone lose weight, and I have other medical issues that are affected by my weight.  I make up for night time munchies to some degree by not eating much through the rest of the day, but spending time before  going to bed sitting on my arse with the munchies is the worst possible dieting scenario.  Obviously some strains are worse than others, but they all do it to me, so I would love to find a way to deal with this aspect of canna, as it helps me medicinally in other ways.

Personally, because I'm on a health and fitness mission, I just resist the urge to eat.
If the temptation is too great, I'll mung on some fruit. I've found a box of sultanas or a banana satiates the munchies nicely. And a glass of water.
Water water water. Always drink water.

Just on a side note, when you're not stoned and you think you're hungry, have a glass of water. If you are still hungry 5 minutes later, it's true hunger. If not, you were just thirsty.

Ultimately I think it comes down to will power. Mind over matter.
That and not having any munchie in the house!

yes natures gift to the peruvians.

although perhaps it was best enjoyed the way mother nature intended rather than refined and processed down to the harmful substance it has become, especially crack.

 

if you havnt seen the movie "shoot the messenger" or "kill the messenger" i cant remember which but its a good movie

Thing I love about cocaine is the little monkey you get with it ...have enough cocaine and the monkey will hang around permanently...although I am told given enough time Death will get the monkey off your back....
