Canna Terra Professional

Recommended Posts

Thanks frank. So coco comes with base properties in the medium, to help a new grower like myself.

Obliterated-

I will be trying not to over water. I will err on the side of caution, as I do with the feeding. I will be putting my finger in to the 2nd knuckle/ feel the weight of it before I water. Even if thats a week for 1 plant and 5 days for another.

Thanks guys

Ahh thank you Ford Fairlane ;)

I generally aim for around about 10% runoff with my Terra both nutrients and water.

Another nice little trick I picked up along the way is soil PH correction.

Even though Terra Professional has Dolomite added into the mix, many soil growers add dolomite to the mix prior to planting so that it will automatically adjust the PH of the root zone regardless of the nutrient PH given.

A product that I found was made by an Australian Organic company called Eco Organic Dolomite.

http://ecoorganicgarden.com.au/products/soil-improvers/eco-flo-dolomite/

Available from Bunnings and other stocklists for under $10

Due to its micronized form, it can be drenched through the medium after transplant and will last months, is far more effective than any application method and comes with bonus goodies like seaweed.

No need to PH nutes or measure runoff PH, just nutrient, water, nutrient, water and it works a charm ;)

Peace!

I will be tring this in the next week obliterated I will be repotting into 5lt containers.

If I follow the above theory you described will I have to balance ph in my nute mix?

I suppose it means I just need to find out the canna terra pro mix and add the extra dolomite that you recomend. And then ajust according to that?

hey rusk,

Coco is semi inert media, it does have potassium and phosphorus and chloride but by no means enough to support any form of plant growth, bar initial seedling growth.

you will need to buy a 2 part nutrient, the same you would need for canna terra, just make sure you get one made for coco specifically.

Thanks frank ill strongly consider it for my next grow.
