Mason Jar storage- thoughts

Small quantities - ammo cans.

large quantities - blue food drums.

 

On the farm we used to drop the drum down the entrance to an old wombat burrow, never had any leaking or spoilage.

Jeepers.......you guys/gals have too much spare weed. By too much I mean I'm jealous.

I have been wondering myself how others keep there stash long term, i store mine in glass 'maccona' Jars.. in a sealed esky..

 

i do notice the smell comes thru the lids of the glass jars, but the sealed esky keeps that smell contained.

 

ive got a vac sealer, but ive never vacuum sealed my weed, because i like the variety, and like to bust out different strains when i

 

can...  and ive never have that much to worry about long term storage.

why? do you keep your weed in ounces?

 

.... if i got busted with my stash vacced up in ounces..id be lookin at a nice holiday.. just sayin...

I have to agree with Vape here. NEVER and I mean NEVER keep your weed in weights. It can be seen that you are dealing having stored in exact weights. Weights are what is sold be that 1/2oz, oz or Lbs. Same with moneybags. If you have an oz split up into deals you must be dealing according to the cops, even being in possession of money bags without a lawful reason can/will cause suspicion, enough for a search warrant or at the least 'further investigation'.
I store mine in tins, I have no idea how much per tin, its a tin full. If I want an oz, I'll weigh it up when I need it, but never stored as an oz. I do have 'oz' bags but they are with the wife's cooking equipment, same with the scales. If someone comes a knockin there is nothing that says 'dealer'. Having weed, scales and bags all in one 'stash spot' helps with the cops in sending you for '.....a nice holiday..'

Hey man. Check out the ozfarmer store. They sell mason jars and vacuum sealers compatible with the jars. I've been doing this for a couple of years. I had to crack into an unopened jar last week. (I put the buds in the jar late march, opening them every second day for two weeks and gave them their final seal). The bud was so smooth and sticky, as if it had just been dried.

 

Cannot go wrong.

Very good points guys ,however i dont store anything at my house though , not even seeds , the only time anything is at my place is when i have motherplants and cuttings before spring . And this year i will be drying outdoors aswell
