Help! Plant is flowering already. Advice needed please.

Recommended Posts

Hi all!!

I got a nice little plant from a mate who grows hydro. He gave me one that was cloning under a light 24hrs a day.

I took it and planted it outside in a nice sunny spot on Fathers Day and it's budding like crazy!! It's only about a foot and half tall.

I tied it down and it's got nice stems growing up from about 10 different points so I'd like to keep growing it if I can til next Mothers Day.

Once it's flowered, will it revert back to just growing again? I'm guessing I confused it by taking it from constant light to day/night.

I'm pretty sure it's an indica if that helps.

All advice is gratefully accepted.

Cheers!!

Mate, she will probably start throwing bananas as the light hours get less and less after christmas, thinking its dying.

You could reveg it after if its in a pot, but you'd need to bring it inside under lights, cause will be too cold and moist outside, and light hours too short to keepm it alive and revegging.

Hope that helps , Peace. Nibbler.

Bullshit Nibbs, the light hours get well and truly long enough to reveg outside. Well, for most of the country anyway... I have already cut two plants that were flowering outside and have already reverted to vegetative growth.

Frank, personally, if you have the space and privacy for a large plant - leave it where it is. It will revert to vegetative growth before xmas and then return to flower as the light hours shorten again as we approach autumn.

Too cold and moist outside in Novemebr/December? Well fuk me, I didn't realise you were in Europe Nibbs... maybe that's why you have it so arse about.

Same thing happened to me last year.

I cut most of the bud up when it started thinning out and new shoots were coming off everywhere... then just let it do its thing.. was in the ground and it revegged fine.  Unfortunately died from other causes, so never got to see the second round of buds !
