canna infused coconut oil

made some wicked canna infused coconut oil yesterday, perfect for putting into smoothies for delicious coconut flavour with a special kick to put a smile on your face!

 

basically this is what i did.

 

i used a bag of leaf, not sure how much, didn't weigh it. a fair bit but you can adjust the amount according to personal preference anyway.

 

i roughly chopped the leaf up then melted a litre of coconut oil into a pot.

 

once melted i added the leaf and let it infuse on the lowest heat for 15 minutes.

 

i then strained it in a cheescloth and let it oil set again. it went an awesome green colour!

 

i tried a tablespoon in a smooth later and have to admit i was pretty chuffed at the results. uber simple yet effective and delcious.

Yessir, That cannabis infused oil sure does hit the spot. sTOOOONNNNED for hours. Lost in your own house....

If I ever get back around to vaping more I will eventually make some coconut oil gel caps with the vaped weed. Apparently even though it's been vaped you can still get pretty wrecked off a couple of caps. Also because it's been vaped, the CBD has been decarbed/activated so you're good to go

Very nice.

 

The more time the cannabis has to infuse it self in the coconut oil the better the oil will become as you are leaching more of the oils from the plant.

 

The only draw back of the longer infuse time is the oil will take on a lot stonger green color.

To stop that "Tree Green" colour when I make mine from the leaf after harvest, I wash gently in luke warm water. Chlorophyll is water soluble but THC,CBD and CBN are not so it makes no difference to the final Stone. Don't do this with heads or sugar leaves of course or you will lose all the tricomes but not a problem with leaf.

 

and don't forget Coconut oil is used as a laxative so you CAN have too much of a good thing.

CBD is highly sensitive to heat, you can actually 'cancel the CBD out' by over-heating it... (just FYI)

My understanding is that vaping doesn't reach temperatures that high. I could be wrong
