I use these all the time in landscaping

 

You need to go to a proper irrigation shop and get and it will last for ever and only need a battery replacement once a season

 

You need these batteries they will last a year

These two are way better and are awesome but a little dearer but will tell you that it's working from where ever and you will never have to visit the site ....and if you do it will tell you.
