Help With Final Stage Of Nft Table

Hi,

I am almost finished setting up my NFT tables for th next grow and im now hooking up the pumps and the water lines to each gutter.

Is thre anything i should know.

I am just using clear tubing (13mm) from the pump in th resvoir to each gutter with two water lines per gutter in case of blockages. And obviously th end of th 13mm clear tub will be capped off.

Seems ok to me as long as the flow of water/nutes is correct all should be cool.

Will this work?

Any clear tubing or reservoirs should be covered where exposed to your lights or you will soon have a problem with algae, black tubing is best in my opinion.

But i dont see how clear tubing exposed to light causes algae. Slow moving water or stagnant water grows alga fair enough but WHY SPOSED CLEAR TUBING.

My grown im doing now is all clear tubing and clar resevoirs. ANd ive had no algae what so ever.

Whats your scientific explanation as to why Algae would grow in my xposed tubing.

MAKES NO SENSE TO ME.

I dont like Black shit its hard to work with it doesnt bend well and has a mind of its own.

That's why they make those little black corner pieces, a heat gun can also be useful.

fuck all i askd was why clear tubing would raise algae problems. Just saying it doesnt isnt gunna make me belive it i have a head too and my head tells me that clear tubing would just make keping the nute temps at 22 degress more difficult. Which is true although i have my clear tube covered in white pvc where xposed to combat the heat.

An educated reason would have summed this up instead i get sarcasm.

i have clear tubing for the drippers in my recirc setup,they go green with algae after a few weeks,i just flush them out in the laundry sink now & then,i only use the stuff cause it's a heap more flexible than black poly pipe.
