What kind of light do I need to grow...

Recommended Posts

Need a bit more info Bro. Lets assume you have them in a 1-2 litre pots and thery are 4weeks old and around 4 inches long (correct me if am wrong). May is a bad time to start, most growers start Oct-ish. Unless you change the light away from the natural light this time of year (>12h darkness) they will want to flower and you will only get a small yield. Keep saround 2-3 24 watt cfls on them for 18-24 h per day and they switch it to 12h when you want to flowers (will need 12 h of absolute darkness to induce flowering). The bigger they get the more cfls you will need. You will get almost nothing without some artifical light this time of yr.

look into metal halide lamps. this is what u want to veg your plants. 250w should do for just a couple of plants or ucould use a 400w but this is probably overkill. u want it at a 18/6 ratio of light hours to dark for vegging.

for flowering an hps light is better. a 12/12 ratio of light to dark hours is necessary for flowering

but these light puts out a lot of light so having them next to a window could attract unwanted attention. sumthing worth thinking about.
