How much electricity will i use?

i have a small grow box with 3 cfl's and a small ventilation fan, how much extra on my power bill will i be lookin at?

Dunno, how many watts for ya Cfls and fans? My 400w, 2 centris, 3 oscillating fans and 130w CFL come in under 200 a quarter. What I would spend on weed in a week if I was buying it.

if ya worried about the cost of thoes 3 lights just turn ya laundy and kitchen light off and power bill will be the same...unless ya running a hid i doubt u will see the difference.

150 watts at average of 15 hour per day= 2.2kw hour per day @ les say 22c per KW= 50c per day= 50c X 90 days=.........$45 per quarter

Yep, you will barely notice. I did the maths for this not long ago, trying to figure out the cause of a high electricity bill.

 

I have a big 130W CFL that I use for veg 18/6, that costs me $40 per quarter.

I use two of those for 260W in flower 12/12, costs me around $60 per quarter.

 

Compared to buying the weed that I harvest, it is not an issue.

 

You did not mention the wattage of your CFLs but I am assuming you are talking about regular household lights that use around 20-25 watts each. I will assume 60-75 watts for your grow (the fan uses pretty much nothing), you can probably expect a $20-30 increase per quarter.

Of course, it depends on the actual wattage and what you pay in kW/h, so if you want something more accurate than that you should work it out yourself.
