Legalisation would mean taxes, probably at the same rate as tobacco, the fines for growing for personal use would be cheaper, especially if you got busted for tax evasion. ::

I can see my accountant now telling me to smoke up my crop before the next financial year to beat the tax man.

that is the kind of shit I'm afraid off if this site ever registers on the radar. Its also why I think a political activism site and a grower's site are not a good mix.

No need to put ozstoners in it. I never said that. And if you don't want this sort of thing, remove the political section. Simple.

Also, I think you'll find that if you go back over some of RobbieGanjaseed's posts, you'll find that this was actually one thing that was hoped for when Ozstoners began, that there would be an "uprising" so to speak, people who are willing to stand up and help push cannabis further towards legalisation.....I think. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

 

I'm building a site for this very purpose, if people like it and you guys want to move the political stuff over there I'm happy to host it - I want to complement existing sites, not divide us. More soon, should be ready before Xmas at the latest.

Activism is all well and good, but I dont think people should get too strung up on the idea of it, there is alot more serious shit in life and most of it is beyond our control.

Freedom is more of a state of mind I reckon, some people will always be paranoid of something, once dope is legal we still have mould and spidermites and aphids to whinge about, but why worry unless they are already in there eating your crop? Why worry about pigs, theres already enough fucked shit in life without worrying about that.

 

Im definately not saying protesting is wrong, but I think people cause themselves more stress over the issue than its worth, and put themselves at a higher risk by doing so. turning whats mostly paranoia into genuine fear because the cops really are breathing down your back.

 

Behind closed doors you are free to do what you want, whether that be molest your poodles or grow dope as long as noone knows but you.
