Tobacco Plants

Recommended Posts

Hi Pot head,

I grew tabacco a few years back. It is a big plant and fun to grow. The first time I grew it I didn't prune it right, so it was not good. The second time I did things better and got the final product, but it smoked like shit. I added rum and vanilla for flavouring, but still I could not smoke it. It was a virgina tabacco but not sure of the name. I'll have to plant more next year so as to keep the seeds viable.

Sorry I can't help more.

Yeah cheers guys.

I've been looking into since the tax hike on cigs a while back. Does look like a drawn out process drying and curing but after a few grows should have something smokable. A mate use to get home grown wasn't too bad. Yeah Stonedaj69 thats the reason i want to give my own plants a crack. I'll just skip the soaking in chemicals part

Just curious if anyone here grows tobacco. Am looking at ordering some virgina gold #1 but just want to see if there were any recommended plants from you guys before ordering.

Cheers

what you grow yourself and what you buy from a store - two entirely different things... well... same plant, but its a hell of an effort to process into a smokeable shred.

heh yeah 9 months of curing :( i grew some this season got 5 lots of flowers and tens of thousands of seeds off them and now making some pest spray :D Would love to get my hands on some N. Rustica for next time round would make a nice additive to some of my smokable blends ;)
