With the leaves having fewer fingers, this tends to happen on mine where buds are growing. Gets fewer fingers higher up the plant.

 

Can also happen when seedlings are still working up to a full leaf.

they're looking real good, filling out nicely...this part goes so slowly though I reckon - so close yet still so far! And growing outdoor, by this stage of it I'm starting to get a bit paranoid
