Neut burn?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the detailed feedback.

Im using the merlin-method to flush right now.

I have been using the EC as a guide to how much water or neuts the plants are using rather than the PH. :scratchin:

Could be a mistake?

The PH tends to slowly creep up, when it hits 6.2 I knock it down to 5.8 again.

I will try a little lower as suggested... 5.6 assuming that it will keep creeping up.

:thisbig:

update:

First flush brought the PH from 5.9 up to 6.5 :uhhuh:

and EC/PPM from 188 to 235...

Dumping/Flushing again...

Update 2:

whoops! Flooded my basement...

:crybaby:

I may not have explained my neut readings properly earlier... as I was just telling you the reading of the res including neuts and the water.

My tap water, before adding anything is around 0.4 EC, so when I said 2.2, I should of said 1.8(neut strength minus water)

2.1 was the neut strength where it started to burn.

I have flushed 3 times and started them back on 1.8 again, dropped the PH to 5.6 this time.

Thanks for your help.
