When to plant outdoors in Melbourne?

Greetings all.

 

Just wondering who out there can help a first timer out on the best time of year to

plant my crops outside?? Am starting them in pots indoors and not exactly sure when

is the best time to transfer them. Also any usefull tips or hints, even a good book

someone can recommend for a keen first timer!!!

Any advise much appreciated..

I don't put my plants out until late October. Too cold and sometimes too wet now in September. I have one I put out early this month and all it seems to be doing is feeding the bugs. Growth rate very slow.

Hi, Yer umm i agree with that brick50,

My friend I planted some on grand final day...(it was raining)

pretty much all threw sept nothing much, then in october it pickt up abit.

That acctual plant has died due to an alcohol related incedent. however

i planted 10 seeds on the 8th of oct. and i have already seen more growth in these

then the one i planted in sept.

So Pedro, id be puttin them out as soon as possible.

Yep put them in ASAP.

 

Rose seedling potting mix and water.
