what nutes do u use pipe? and if any what other products. that plant was as healthy as can be before the screen.

hey tigger I use canna nutes veg & flower as well as PK13-14.

 

I found out I wasn't actually draining the system properly at flushes. I would just empty the control bucket than refill. However the roots in the main bucket are so solid that it takes a while for the water to drain out. So for weeks this water was just sitting in there completely unchanged. No wonder the plant has been going yellow!

 

So I rigged up a pump to pump out of the control bucket onto the top of the netpot, then waited patiently for the water to trickle out into the control bucket. It took almost half an hour to empty. The water had an ec of 1.5. And this is with emptying the bucket and replacing with plain water for the last 3 days. So god knows how high it got when I was adding nutes to the system. Anyway flushing properly tonight and again tomorrow. The bud growth is stunted I reckon, but it should still yield something.

I was looking in a plastic crate a few days ago and thinking of you pipeman...... I was thinking that its awfully flat and wide and probably only has about 5ltrs of water or so to grow in once the level is taken below the netpot.

But still going good, That airstone will sure take some hacking to get out of the rootball.

 

Anyway that blockage is no good, could you move the thing into another tub while you drain it. And another suggestion, if the yellowing seems to be from root boundedness, you could cut a hole in a bigger tub, and dump it in. I guess not cos of the screen.

yeah white cluster I can't do shit with the plant bucket because its all tied up in the screen.

 

I still got a fair bit of the first harvest left. I smoke less than a quarter a week.

another pic taken yesterday, I've been flushing since Monday. plan to harvest next weekend. A lot of the leaves are all yellow with some mould I think. Hopefully the buds will be allright.

I can see some strained leaves, and some yellowing, which should be normal if flushing.... But you think it's got mold? I can't really say I see any there, but if there is you want to drop humitidy as much as possible, and you might even consider cutting off all the affected parts...

 

But like I said, I can't see any mold there... Don't worry too much, but maybe a close up shot of some of the leaves that you think have been attacked? This could help identification...

nah they're not very smelly at all. I don't have any smell control in place.

 

yeah I think there's mould there. I never cleaned the cabinet from my previous crop which had mould. Pretty silly huh? but thats the way it goes.
