hey bro the first two pics are of the plant in the closet it is under a 125 cfl and has 3 t8 18watt fluro bulbs running up the sides the pic of the leaf i showed is in the middle of the plant and is about 30 cm away from the 125 and about 15 from the closest t8 which shoodnt be a problem for light burn the other two pics are quite similar they are in the grow box and under a 400 hps the leaf i show is also in the middle of the plant and is about 50cm away from the hps so again i dont think its light burn but thanx ill keep it in mind do you think it could be anything else bro

If it isn't the light/heat stress, then i'd be inclined to say windburn.

Here is a pic from my first grow, mix of problems, light to close, fan blowing to strong directly on it, and overwatering.

Not the best comparison, but when you get holes in the leaf and that whitish blotching, usually has something to do with the above problems.

yeh i see what your saying i just turned my fan down in the closet but the thing is i think it might be a deficiency aswell because the plant in soil dont have any holes and looks slightly different have a look i just took some more pics this is the soil grown plant but although they dont both have holes in them the do have twisted growth and some sort of interveinal collorosis but the one in the closet seems to have white veins

looking at pics of the whole plant.. it looks to me that youre getting a nitrogen deficiency .. leaves yellowing from the base is a classic sign of this.. and as nitrogen is essential in the uptake of every other nutrient.. this is what could be causing the veins to discolour..

to diagnose this can you tell me.. what system are you using.. what media.. what nutrients...and how often are you feeding...

i see one pot with clay.. and another with coco.. or something.. but cant tell 100%

Hi dirtyman,

Initially first impressions was 'N' deficiency.

as dose SS;-

I'd really like more info to - in particular feeding and stage of growth the plant(s) are at.

I thought it may be 'nute lock out' as these pictures show causing the lock out of Potasium ('k') or ('S') or other micro-nutrient - either way a flush and recommencement of nutes on low and increasing amounts is a safe way to go.

'K' deficiency:- post-5398-1246630547_thumb.jpg

'N' deficiency:- post-5398-1246630671_thumb.jpg

'S' deficiency:- post-5398-1246630776_thumb.jpg

All the best :bongon:

Nitty.

hey nitram, sukonmi you are rite on the clay it,s in a recycle system and seems to be clearing up fine its the other plant in soil in a drain to waste system i feed every second to third day that is getting worse by the day i woke up this morning and its looking a bit worse again i mainly give it water as it is in good soil but i still give it a soft mix of nutes every third feed this plant has been in flower for 14 days now and the other for 11 when i do give it nutes i use flair form greendream a and b at a rate of one ml a ltr so do yo think it is nitrogen? if so whats the best way to treat?

thanx guys all the best dirtyman

what you need to do with the soil one.. is to measure the water that you feed for PPM's and PH.. before it goes in.. then measure the water after it has drained out..

my gu4ess would be that the pot just isnt draining properly.. and gathering moisture at thebase of the pot.. which intun eventually turns acidic.. the plants probably been growing fine.. but now the roots have reached the bottom of the pot theyre suffering from the toxicity thats gathered there.. just a guess..

how free draining is the soil? can you just pour water through it.. or does the water just divert to the edges of the pot and run out?

might pay to repot it in some more freely draining soil.. maybe use some hydroton at the base of the pot to help with the drainage.. also mix a little perlite in with the soil.. around 40% or so...
