EC or PPM meter?

Recommended Posts

why not fun CF whist we are throwin options out there !!! ;)

I run in EC simply cause it's a more constant standard , as somone already mentioned there are two ppm scales and people rarely tell you which they use , and with a difference of 200 per unit of messurement in ec it's not something that will go unoticed

Peopel for the most part use what they areused to and feel comfortable with imo neighter is better or worse and suitable for hydroponics , if you where a water specialist testing samples or messureing low levels of conductivity then you would definatly prefer to use a ppm meter imo simply because it's scale is far more sensitive but for the purposes ofhydroponics your using levels that can be messured by eighter choice

I use a truncheon as my meter but I don't have their combo meter with PH, I have heard from unhappy buyers that it has had quite a few issues with one or the other probe fucking out on people and ofcourse the whole unit has to go for repairs then

That's good to know! I was seriously looking at making the investment when the girls migrate into my recirculating setup.
