Plant problems First time with Flood Drain

Recommended Posts

First up - I would get those cubes into a 6 inch net pot - with hydroton - no way you want just those cubes in your tray.....

One minute of feeding every 24 hours won't do it - more like 15 minutes every 3 hours - once you have them in the pots

You can fill the tray with hydroton if you prefer but seems like a horrible waste of hydroton to go that way plus if they are in pots you can shift them around - add or subtract - anything you like....

You should also have some depth when the tray floods - about 3/4 the height of the pots should do it

All the best with your grow

EDIT

And get rid of that plastic around the cubes when you put them in the net pots

Not worried about the Alge on the cubes. You should see them now there about 1 foot tall :peace: they are doing much better. the tray is filled with expanded clay and the cubes are sitting on top. They are growing really well now and the feed cycle is now 2 mins per 6 hour cycle and there is no sign of underwatering and everything is staying moist.
