OK, I've decided to do a few posts of what I've got on the go at the moment.

After 6 years of inbreeding from bagseed I finally got some named seeds, and

just before they arrive....My BagSeed Whores come up with...IBL51...a 9th gen inbred female plant...8 week flowering time...mostly sativa...strong fruity smell to this one, a good head stone when harvested early, reasonable body

stone when harvested later.... reasonably compact buds, low succeptability

to mold.

...only one gen ..[the second one]...ever had a mold problem. Clear of the

prob since then...responds well to scrog training...stretches about 3x...

60% of flower growth in last 2 weeks of flower...the buds look like hairy

mini bottlebrushes...about 60%-65% flower to 35%-40% leaf ratio when in

flower....

Each generation was bred in groups of 6-8 females that self fertilized

themselves...though not heavily laden with seeds...and I do not know if each

plant fertilized itself or it's neibour. Each gen of seeds was grown in the

same way, groups of 6-8 female plants that self pollinated...some had good

stones, some were frosty with resin...all are somewhat heat tolerant...they

thrive at up to 38C only showing signs of trouble when heat consistantly rose

above 38C...the first 3 gens had plants that developed tobacco mosiac virus

towards the end of flowering (last 2 weeks)...last 6 gens did not develop

TMV...don't know if it was better hygene protocols (rollie smoker...started

using latex gloves) or the newer gens are more resistant.

All 9 gens were grown in cococoir and perlite using various 2 part hydro nutes and pk+ used in last three weeks of grow.

Lights were 130 W flouro VEG and 2x 400w HPS FLOWER.

Nute ph was kept between 5.8 and 6.2

Average of 10 good colas per plant...

Average of 50.5 grams dried manicured bud from each plant...

IBL51 is the result of 6 years and nine generations of self fertilized inbreeding...By someone with no knowledge of what they were doing, nor

any real intention of achieving a stable line....There was no direction

in pollination...the plants in the cab fertilized themselves or each other.

10-20 seeds were germinated and sexed for each successive generation. Males

were killed (sacrificed to the Great Fire God) and the best 6-8 females of each gen were cloned and flowered together in the cabinet. At least 2 of the grows contained girls from 2 dif gens. They may have cross fertilized each other.

Generation 9 was grown half veg time with hydro nutes and half veg time with

miracle grow (blue powder)...Flowered with hydro nutes and pk+ during last 4 weeks of flower. Gen 9 has been mistreated overheated and neglected. All generations were scrogged.

All plants from all gens produced some flowers on lower branches and

some seeds.

Short internodes on all plants...only had mites once on 2nd gen grow (same

one that had mold) and all gens have had whitefly of some sort, but it has not

affected them adversly and the plants have outlasted them every time.

Records/logs were kept for each generation.

Will get photo's up when I get opera working properly...

peace out

Wow Medi. That's some awesome work you've done there!

Great descriptions on grow patterns, etc

I just have a question - it sounds as though you've purposely created a strain of dominant hermaphroditic plants! Have I got that wrong? Is there purpose there?

Really looking forward to understanding more.

thanks teucer...there was no deliberate attempt to breed a specific trait or line...it was just desperation because these were the only seeds I had and I needed medi pot to get by...glad you liked the grow pattern descriptions, I had to reread my breeding notes to get it...It looks like I have developed a strain of dominant hermapgrodites...now I have the fun of tring to breed out the hermi traits and instill some that I do want...any suggestions from anyone on where to go from here would be appreciated...as I said...no experience, direction or real intentions influenced this breeding...and for my 51st plant to turn out like this was a suprise...I have clones of her going at the mo...will have to decide where to take it from here..

peace out
