hey i just want to no if any1 has heard of germinating seeds in a shot glass of water and a tiny bit of clonex because i got told that it works well because it promotes rooting and makes the plant female its worked 4 me on 3 different plants they've all been female but i dont no wether its a flook or just that i happend to have good seeds or that the tip this old man told me works. so if any1 no's of this method let us no but im gonna keep doing it till it stops working

yea sure putting seeds in a glass of water with clonex will work. without clonex prob work just as well. dunno bout making the seeds female tho, tend to think this is an old wives (or mans) tale...

 

but you shouldn't need to crack seeds that often anyway. Its easier to keep a mother plant and take clones, thats when ya clonex will come in handy.

yeh your rite about the cloning part much easier to just get a nice plant and take clones but you need the rite strain first if u no want what i meen some strains aren't worth cloning i just ordered some blueberry seeds so hopefully they come and ill be taking clones of her 4 shaw

Wow! I checked out the cannaversity link and whilst detailed and brilliant, I don't think I've read a more complicated way to crack krauts ever!

 

I've never had a problem with just chucking 'em under some wet paper towel, keeping moist for a few days, then into seedling pots.

 

Purge shitty ones a week or two later then repot in their permie homes.

 

Hell, I don't even use nutes on krauts or seedlings!!!

 

HOWEVER.... That method of determining chicks I LIKE. If it's worked for you the whole time, I'm keen to give it a go. Myth OR reality...

I'm not saying it doesn't work. Goodness no. I'm just saying that if I had to devise a more complicated way to crack krauts I'd have a hard time.
