HPS distance from plant

Recommended Posts

yes, incorrect ph will cause nutrient lockout...making some nutrients less available to the plant...causing unhealthy and or dead plants...the ph for soil is slightly higher than the ph for hydro for some reason I don't really understand...just because I havn't read the scientific understanding of this phenomenom.. for soil about 6.5 to 7.5 and for hydro about 5.2 to 6.8...

what will the plants do if there to close to the light? wilt? discolor?

You will burn the crap out of then and kill off the tips where the best heads form.

Take care when using Osmocote, it’s good but it is very easy to overdo it and it can last for up to 3 months so you want it to have cleared by flush time. I used to mix some in the potting mix at the beginning of the grow and after that any that was added just got tossed on the top of the soil where it could be cleaned off (vacuumed) before flushing.
