hey pipeman just an up date on how close i have got the light, it is at 100mm. i was holding my hand at about that hight and did not get to hot so i ste the light at that hight, i hade a rough sleep wondering if my plant was getting burnt so when i got up i raced in and cheaked her,she was fine

I am finally switching to aircooled hoods for this round.

I am buying the pre-made aircooled hoods (for 1000w) made by Ablite.... the run less than $150AU each (less fan and ducting)... not bad for high quality stuff.

 

Anyway I have 2x of the Ablite heatshields (for 1000w bulbs) that attach below the bulbs and I will not be using them anymore if anyone is interested email me at shaftreturns@operamail.com
