Spectrum 130W compact flouros

Recommended Posts

i can get up to 240w fluros here in china although i;ve only used up to 210w.

yer they good for early veg an even mothers but they dont produce thick enuff stems and imo still nedd an extra week of veggin under hid;s before flippin to flower. mate did a grow with 6 or so 210w fluros but even then yeilds weren;t extraordinary.

peace

Watts shouldn't be the guide, it should be lumens or par watts. And the 250w HPS units put out roughly 25 - 35 000 lumens. A 130w spectrum lamp puts out about 12,000 lumens. So really, it's comparable. The only issue could be penetration, but provided the plants are grown compact and close to the lamps you'd do okay. Not spectacular, but you'd certainly do alright. After growing mothers for a substantial period under these lamps I've found that the growth rate is good, and whilst internode distance is somewhat longer than what could be expected under an HID, ultimately it's still very satisfactory.

Hey yawl. these 130w fluoros sound like the goods for raising seedlings and clones. i've asked around the lighting shops in my area and no one has heard of em. guess that makes em a hydro shop line. as luck would have it the local hydro guy was closed indefinately due to illness. :peace: ...

i use a converted fridge, gutted and laying on its side. at the moment i've got 4x 4 foot fluoro battens in it. i think the extra penetration of the compact jobbies is needed. 2 of em sounds the go. any feedback on this would be great, cos there new to me....cheers...B.B.....
