stingray air cooled shade

hey guys

got meself a new stingray aircooled shade

has any1 used these shades before??

i was hoping to get some feedback on the shade

i dont really like how the lamp is boxed away...

all help is appreciated

i seen them when they first come out on ebay doesnt look like much of a good design TBH poorly designed using those 100-120mm fans and a peice of glass would have been alot better than the mesh plus with the lamp being boxed in as u said theres no point having big wings no light will get to them to be reflected

like gazza i think it would be better with a glass bottom and having the whole shade being air cooled, but from the pics i saw in your double post before deleting it, it should work a treat none the less

im throwin her up in there tonight..

itd be handy to have a light meter to see the diff between this and the chinaman..i dont think ill use the mesh bit..

yeah i could of got the cool tubes but i prefer the shade to reflect

the cool tube would be the grouse if i had the room for vert growin

yeah ive got two one with a crack and bummy wiring there will be a huge decrease in light when u go from chinamans hat to horozontal shade esp the sting ray
