ive recently bought a fantech 150mm centrifugal and a Phat 150mm filter.

One word - wicked. Zero smell, and I've just picked a crop. Also, wicked ventilation. It's also brilliant to dry in.

Don't know if you'd need any intake fan with a good centrifugal. It'll suck the air stright through any intakes. I think the one you are looking at bill is the 160L/s job.

If i were u I'd just work out how often you want/need to empty your room, and get the appropriate sized fan/filter combination.

Luke Skywalker was a great help to me. He really knows his shit about this stuff.

Re installation and any extra gear. I bought some chain to hang it, and wrapped the fan and first metre or so of ducting in some thick towels, taped with duct tape.

Re the speed controller. I haven't found the need for one, and my room is about 1/3 smaller than yours. Suck it and see I reckon.

yeah billo,

thought this might be useful to ya if you haven't calculated it.

Your room is 3.16m3

So it holds 3160 Litres

The Fantech is rated at 205L/s

So at peak performance, it'll empty your room about every 15 seconds. Wicked.

Add to this figure the effect of the attached can filter and ducting, where will lose a bit of pressure, say 10s worth as a guess, and you're still emptying your room more than twice a minute. Great ventilation, more CO2, more moderate temperatures.

Oh yeah, and of course, zero smell. :scratchin:
