curling leaves

Recommended Posts

Hello stoners once again,

I have just noticed that the leaves on the canopy are all slightly curled up length ways. the underneith are all looking normal appart from a couple of rogue manky leaves (nothing unusual). have tried the search engine but no answers. Im growing in coco and its a SCROG bout 10weeks old from seed.

cheers

High ,

If It's anything like I'm experiencing .. i.e. The sides (Lengthways) of the leaves are curling upwards but the plant is healthy enough ..

I'm thinking now it might be to do with the intensity of light and/or Heat distribution issues .. Would be good to be able to isolate this possible problem :peace:

(I find that when the lights have been off for a while and things have cooled down a little that that particular problem seems to subside .. and it seems to seem worse after a lengthy light period) .. However , I am not entirely sure what exactly (if there is an exact) is causing it .. :peace:

Some Pics might help If you can get them ..

Does the problem at all resemble this ? ...

post-8241-1166617212_thumb.jpg - Note the slight Curling upwards of the serated edges of some leaves .. It was worse but .. Is it a similar problem to some degree? ..

Plz excuse me , I'm curious about this for myself aswell ...

Good Luck to you :toke:

Hey their Budman

Yea that pic is spot on, I would get a pic but my camera is getting repaired by cannon and they are slow shits!!

anyway il see tomorrow morning(they would have only been on for an hour or 2) if they are still curling and if they its probibly heat or light issues.

my grow room during the hottest gets to 35C its hi but not extreme i thought seeing as a normal day can get 40 plus sometimes??

Skunk

Im using coco a and b 30mL per 10L

cannazym 25mL per 10L

rhizo 20ml per 10L

and nitrogen 10ml per 10L

superthrive 2mL per 10L

im probibly due for a ant fungi and gnat spray so i might give it a flush to!!

ah ok.. I thought you meant that the plant was curling like it does when overwatered but the other way..

this could be a few things... the plant needs to be flushed.. the medium has too much salt build up .. and the plant is suffocating...

or it could be to do with the heat... im thinking its the heat mate... if the leaves look ok like budmans.. then I would be thinking its the heat just freaking them out.. although 35 is fine... my thoughts are the same.. it gets over 40 outside.. and in the scrub even hotter...

if it was a salt build up you will usually get some ph issues and the leaves usually start to get spotty.. or even tip burn... browned edges...

if in doubt some clean water wouldnt hurt... rain water if youve got it... make sure theres plenty of run off...

are you hand watering.. or auto? do the nutes recirc or run to waist?

looking good there budman...

Cheerz ,

I know you probly know this Taipan , But those Temps are way too high .. 35d Max. maybe you could get away with indoors , with a decent "air flow" ..

If It's gettin up to 40d , that's a bit too warm I would reckon .. and you would maybe want to think about some more ventilation .. :toke:

Or maybe the winter grow might be a better option for you .. there's no reason why you can't grow in 35d+ Temps , But It's by no means optimal ...

Again ... Good luck , and be sure to post some Pics when you get back your newly repaired Cam ..

Have a good one :toke:

P.s. ... Oh , I just realized I pretty much echoed part of SS's reply ... I certainly agree with what was said there ... and also .. Thx SS , I hope they do continue in good health :peace: And Btw , they happen to be SS's as a matter of fact :toke:

Cheerz :toke:

Remember temps are a root problem

Keeping your coco damp not wet and a bit of airflow across the pots will keep the roots cool

Yeah all you can really do is flush and add fresh nutes around the 1.6 - 1.8 mark maybe some fulvic acid too if you really want to make sure they are getting all the nutes they need, good for developing roots too.
