How Hot ?

bufo marinus .... It's the root temperature that matters imo this is a hard one to come to grips with indoors.

Outdoors in the gound, if you can keep the water up to them they will grow in ridiculous temperatures no problems.

Why? ......The root temp is cool

Heat turned all my plants hermaph. I ended up with a crop of seed. I had 6 x 600watt hps going in a small room it got real hot. I had ventilation but it wasn't enough. I didn't worry about doing anything about it as the plants just kept growing. It was a disaster. I spent hrs and hrs picking every single god damn seed out of my buds. Man that sucked

Hi Closet Grower, I agree with bufo 100%.

 

Where I live temps average in the mid 40's with some low 50's over summer, with humidity below 10%. In the grownd plants can handle it no worries at all with enough water, in pots their growth can be severly stunted by heat in my exp. especialy if plants are not acclimatised to the conditions.

 

Here is a pic of a white rhino x black widow plant that i have growing atm. ( in 8" pot, not acclimatised )

 

 

And this is a plant from my own seeds. ( in 8" pot, acclimatised )

 

 

Both plants are the same age.

 

And these plants grew with alot of days in the room reaching high 40's

the ideal tempature for marijuana to grow in is 28.8c, but from my experience mj will still grow at temps as low as 5c and as high as 50c the only downside is that when you hit the extremes like those, you get severe stunting like mongy has experienced
