How Hot ?

Recommended Posts

I'm fairly sure if you had a plant growing in 36o+ temps in full sunlight by the end of the day you would have a wilted, damaged and possibly dead plant.

Can anyone confirm this?

:yahoo:

Nah , thats not right at all , If you keep the water up to them they would easily survive temps much hotter than that We have plenty of 40d+ days in Australia (most parts) and MJ plants can easily survive weeks of those temps if It has enough water , in fact If the plant is well taken care of it should really thrive in those conditions ..

Even If You gave It no water It would still survive for a number of days depending what condition the plant Is in

In full summer sun watering can be a bit of work especially if you have to do It manually ..

and having some sort of Mulch around the plant certainly helps retain moisture and keep the topsoil cooler ..

Hope that helped ..

Bye 4 now :D

You would have to be silly to say that high heat doesnt affect plants at all but hell they endour near everything you can chuck at them if they are used to the abuse.

Buds grown in an outdoor ultra hot area are raised with the heat and as such are weathered, self adjusted and trained to put up with the conditions.

so for most indoor crops a sudden heat swing can be disastrous to near no affect at all depending on the plants age and hardiness but still comes to the point that the plants will adjust to what they are raised in and recover from near anything as best they can
