HELP!

Sup guys, once my seeds have sprouted using the papertowl method.. i want to put them into growwool cubes and put them in the dark till they sprout. (sound about right?) ok.. now the question is:

 

Ive tried 3 diff types of water and they all PH about 7.5.. the last lot of seeds i lost koz i used to much PHUP/DN to get the PH right.. basically.. what do i soak my growcubes in? Plain 7.5Ph water ? :s

Ive got a Ph meter.. but how do i get the water to 5.8 without using PHUP or DOWN is my question..

 

Im quite sure the Chems in phup/dn killed last seeds.

sounds odd, you would only need a little bit of phdown..maybe your meter needs calibration?

you should soak your cubes in a ph of about 5.4-5.8 they are quite alkalinic to start off with and that will ballance them out have you tried bottled water ?

 

You could use somethign like rhizotonic to lower your ph and add a bit of ph down aswell

rhizotonic would also help out the seedlings at their early stages of growth and rooting

Yer ive tried bottled, tapped, filtered machine water.. fkit ill just add a little bit of ph down, seeing i dont have any rhizotonic on hand :s, cant get that stuff in like nurseys n stuff can u?

 

how long should i soak the rockwool cubes for? koz my seedlings are ready to be taken out of their furbished papertowel home!

i soak for 12-24 hours in ph as stated above , but i soak in ¼ strength flowering nutes , some times with AU60 , but i have also put a a fresh seed in a dry cube and tap watered it ....i use RO water myself...

 

you gotta work out whats easy foir you mate

use an eye dropper mate as the best way to use PH+/- is a drop at a time

 

and i soak mine for an hour or so they dont need much
