Nutrient Burn?

Recommended Posts

G'day all, I've got an update with some new pics (links below).

As the pics show, the burnt leaves at the bottom are looking pretty damn sad, but I don't think they have gotten any worse since I did the soil flush. Should I be cutting them off? They look almost dead. The rest of the growth is looking ok.. except some leaves look like they're going yellow towards the ends, but not the tips like before. Should I be worried about this?

I'm still waiting for the soil to dry out after the flush before I water again, hopefully I'll be able to find some good nutes before then. Should I be feeding the next time I water? Since I probably flushed out all the nutes..

And I've just noticed a few tiny white dots on two leaves (you can see them in the pics too). Does anybody know what these are?? I just killed a few flying bugs, I'm not sure if they're respnsible for that though. I hope I don't have to deal with bugs now too.

It seemed to be going so well at the start but now I'm worried it's all going to shit :\

I just did a pH test, I think it looks like it is around 7, which is good.

Thanks again for all your help. I've gotta say this must be the friendliest and most helpful community I've ever come across on the web :)

Cheers!

nice looking plants man :)

pot plants like drainage , i use about 30% perlite in my mix . there should be enough nutes in the actual soil mix to get em through the first few weeks ,then just use weak grow ferts . to watch em bounce back into life try adding a few drops of superthrive to your waterings :)
