The Hemp bar and smoking laws

Recommended Posts

It won't be long before all smoking in public places, including bars, will be banned in Australia.

Do you think this will effect the Hemp Bar in Nimbin? It seems the cops are willing to let them exist there as long as they keep it out of sight but what if the Health Department was involved under an anti smoking law?

Good Question pipeman ...

But what makes u think they Will ban all smoking in public places any time soon ?

I think it is still many decades away the day we cant go into the local Pub and and have a smoke with our Beer.

It is a filthy habit but not all smokers are rude and blowing smoke in anyone elses face.

The tobbacco industry is a multi-Billion $ one ... and shows no sign of slowing thingz down and the governments need the Tax money.

(just one good thing on smoking laws for me - I finally stoppd myself from wasting all my cash on the pokies because u can no longer smoke in there now :bleh: GOOD!)

I still wanna be able to go to the pub once in a while and smoke with my beer -

ok then hope u dont think im a fkd disgusting Smoker or anything (smokin MJ is Better;))

Ill be interested to see where this goes.

Bye Now. :toke: ;) :peace:

the nimbin hemp bar is not exempt from current law. just too well-known to be brought down by nimbin cop-fucks. tho, if a national(governbental) drive was made to erase it, i'm sure its possible.

if all their smoking paraphernalia was removed, anyone could go next door to the hemporium, buy a vape, then re-start the sesh. ;)

does vapour count as smoke? (obviously, not to you pipeman, it counts for naught :peace: )

also, Dept. of Health vs. Nimbin Stoners... a battle i'd pay to see!! :toke:

vapour counts for nought? I been vaping longer than most around here. got some hash bubbling in there right now in fact :toke:

Was down at the hemp bar today and Dave was waving around a bud that looked like it was a good 3-4 ounces and rolling up joints for anyone that was interested. And for once he wasn't coughing all over the place which was a nice change.

They got a good setup there at the hemp bar and should be applauded for doing their bit to try and normalise cannabis use. And its a great place to have a smoke when in town. All stoners should drop by and give a donation when they can.

Try going for a smoke in any pub/club/hotel in Tasmania, see how far you get :peace:

Not allowed AT ALL there although some places have built beer-gardens pretty much specifically for smokers. Who else would brave the temps down there outside? :toke:

Nope

"The Tasmanian legislation bans smoking in bars and licensed areas, including casinos."

"Tasmania will introduce a ban on January 1, 2006 but (NSW) will not have a ban in place until 18 months later."

"From July 2007, all indoor areas of licensed facilities in NSW will be smoke free, but lighting up will still be permitted in outdoor areas such as beer gardens."

:applause:

Sht ... I just realized Ive got half a smoke rolled in my hand as I type , Fuck eh. hehe :yahoo:

Dont go to Nimbin much , But I reckon I'd be a bit sketchy entering those type of premises in Nimbin bcuz , My paranoid side is tellin me that cops would have cameras set up all over nimbin to get a visual record of "suspects" :toke: B)

Thats Probly Dumb , but I think it relates , maybe(?) , I'll read it in context and see. :scratchin:

:toke: Budman ... Out. :toke:
