Blood Pressure and Weed

Surprisingly, it varies from country to country. Not by too much tho.

Here in Oz, normal is considered to be 120/80.

Anything between 120/80 and 140/90 is considered normal to high.

Over 140/90, it's just outright high, and not in a good way. ^_^

180/100 is very high.

140/90 and above, you are looking at hypertenion. Not something one really wants... :)

I've always found my BP to be acceptably considering the fact I smoke, don't exercise enough, don't eat right and am over weight...

Last check came back 137/79. This was at the blood donation van last week. So my systolic was a lil high but the RN said that's probably due to the fact that I had just been doing some shopping and because I was a lil nervous. :D (I didn't get to give blood tho because of my iron level issues :))

:D

The Benefits of Majuianna.......... By Joan Bello

which states

THC dilates small capillaries.

this makes more room for more oxygenated blood to be pumped about the body

thus the heart tends to beat a little faster, with less pressure

dats a bit dated now

the latest is

the discovery of the endo cannabinoid system which is natural to the body

yes we all have it.

it is named after cannabis cause it does the same tings

these are all the sites that THC locks into thru out the entire body

well the Endo Cannabiniod system regulates every system in the body

including the cardio vascular system

regulates = Balances and keeps everyting in check

There is a brilliant article on this very issue in Treating Yourself Magazine #13. The article is by Ally (pflover), a friend of mine, and is titled "Cannabinoids: Cardiovascular Scourge or Protective Agents".

You can download a free pdf copy of this article here:

http://www.treatingyourself.com/pdf/issue13.pdf

I hope you find some benefit from this very informative article. There are also 4 articles by me in this issue.
