The saga continues.... Have tried 4 different speed controllers and the only one that emits a next to no audible hum/buzz/NOISE is a 3 Speed Fan Controller. A DETA Model 6141 Max rating 150watt from Burunnings. From my research it seems to be compatible 'motor to fan controller' wise, but I am no techie and I would love a Tech/Electrical Engineer to confirm a 3 speed is ok for a Westaflex 10" Centrifugal. Having said that this particular 3 speed runs much tooo slow. Speed 3 (Low) I can blow harder...you know what I mean... Speed 2 (Med) It blows harder than me...but not much Speed 1 (High) Is flat out Is there someone or a link or a wee bit of knowledge that points …

I have spent a little bit of time trying to find a post on anyone who has successfully done a veg to harvest grow using only a 130W CFL- I have spent time on the net trying to find a single actual log on this subject and have found absolutely 0 reports on anyone using a single 130W CFL globe. I have read reports on multiple hoods with 20w globes but never a single 130w globe?--- If you have ever done this I am highly interested to hear your report- thank you.

Hey all, love the site. My question is, for a budget, cupboard setup. Would something like this yield half decent results? Providing you hung (adjustable jack-chain) the downlights within say 20mm of the top of the plant and adjusted up as the plant grew? What if also, you had multiple dowlights hung on varying angles, pointed at the amp (45 degrees facing the plant, 20mm proximity, surrounding each plant, and hung at different heights) The setup im thinking is for 2 plants, 4 - 6 downlights hung off jack chain surounding the plants. Therefor maximum light with minimum heat and wattage. Cheers all.

Just wondering what would be the best way to set the lights up in the main bloom tent, the plan was to have 3 plants going in there but 1 went hermie so i only have 2 in there now, so each one has 1 x 600Whps above it, However my next grow im going to go for 3 again, or maybe even more but im not sure how to go about placing my 2 600w lights... As in the picture, i had them kind of shining light between the pots on each side in an attempt to get even coverage on all 3 plants, Apart from getting another 600w light in there what could i do and how can i place them? I cant get anymore lights as this run has cost me over 1,000$ in power bill for 105 days ( that includes the …

Hey ozstoners! I'm currently working on an extreme budget DWC project, I've got everything set up and got a northern lights auto sprouted and ready to go. The only problem I have left is that through hours of searching online I haven't found out what to buy to power my light. I'm running a 50w E27 LED (blue and red spectrum). Ideally I want the cheapest option I can to be able to supply power to my light. The actual power usage by the globe is 40W so would it be okay if I just got the lamp advertised at Bunnings for $6.50 that uses a 40W globe? Any advice is appreciated, cheers!

I am looking to grow my first medical marijuana plant in a small grow tent in my apartment bathroom. The bathroom has quite a good new style fan. I am wondering if you think this could be adequate to ventilate the cannabis smell from the apartment? Thank you.

G'day guys! Im a long time lurker of your awesome community, and have decided its time to get involved. Im about to start my first grow and have acquired an old fridge which is 1.8m high with a width and depth of about .8m, so its pretty roomy. I plan to grown 1 plant just for personal use and a couple of mates and have got the vents/filter sussed, just bought a kit off ebay. However the lights im unsure of. For a space like mine would buying one of these 2700k/6400k cfl kits with the reflector be ok? And also when buying off ebay are therw any particular brands/shops i should be avoiding? Cheers guys!

heya all thought i just share with you my Macgyver style carbon air filter for a SMALL cupboard. went to bunnings for a few pvc connector pipes and duct tape, already had the silver air tube and pringles container from b4 .. yes you read right a Pringles container! chopped it down to size, put a 'few' holes for ventilation and lightly covered the bottom with activated carbon bits from the pet store (used in aquarium filters) i can easily remove the end to change the carbon when it's not working anymore. and voila a working air filter AND it's running only though a 120mm 240v computer style fan

Was looking at Can fans (the brand) and in particular their centrifugal fans... I see that they are running on 110V..... I know some stores here in OZ stock them. Does anyone know if they are able to be run here on 240V... I was undertheimpression a convertor needed to be used... cheers stoners....

Next grow season I'm thinking of starting my seedlings under lights before I move them outdoors once they're around 4-6 weeks old or until they've outgrown their indoor space. I plan on creating a mylar covered enclosure with the top NOT completely covered so air can move freely in/out, the dimensions will be 57cm x 100cm and 120cm tall, the room the enclosure will be in is large and cool but is not well ventilated with fresh air. I plan on filling the enclosure with 10+ seedlings and using a 12/12 light cycle, I have access to 80 W and 24 W CFL lights (both 6400K), which are more appropriate considering they're for seedlings and the small dimensions of the enclosure? a…
