I heard this on ABC Radio National a couple of months back so I had a bit of a search and I haven't seen anyone post this, sorry if it's been posted before. It's a speech given by Norm Stamper at the Festival of Dangerous Ideas in Sydney. He's the former Seattle police chief making sense on the so called war on drugs. I listen to radio national at work all the time and I'm glad that there are people (people who can't be swept under the carpet of "oh, he's just another pothead") out there talking about this.
