Medical Marijuana for Cancer treatment, help please.
Hi Guys, I realise that I could probably find most of the info I need without asking... but I am sure some of you will have done the research for me, and as such wanted to save myself some time.... I have researched this a little in the past, thinking I might make some oil for my wife's back pain, and my sick dog.... but never really pursued it with any vigor. One of my best mate's old man has recently been diagnosed with Cancer. Unfortunately it is in a few places throughout his body and he has been given 6-12 months to live. My mate used to smoke with me when we were younger, but now has no contacts... so he gave me a call. his old man is actually the one wh…

Key Issues Surrounding the Debate about Medical Cannabis - Australia
From: The 'Alcohol and Other Drug' industries magazine - "Of Substance" The political hot potato of decriminalising cannabis for certain types of medical use is back in the air, with an increasingly lively debate occurring around Australia. Cannabis was legal for medical use in Australia until the 1950s; now its only legally sanctioned use is for a mouth spray for muscle spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis. While advocates argue that it should be made available to patients with a range of serious and terminal conditions, dissenting voices say the status quo of an almost total ban should remain. In the following group of topic ‘snapshots’, Of Substance looks …

Advice on Best Strains for Treating Depression Sought
Hello all, I'm new to the forum and somewhat new to cannabis (used recreationally and occassionally, many, many years and not since then). I have major depression (with anxiety) which was professionally diagnosed and has been treated with pretty much all of the SSRIs, SNRI, NRIs, MAO inhibiters and tricyclics--and in desperation some of the antipsychotics (even though I have no psychosis), lithium and ECT. I am currently on desvenlafaxine and mirtazapine which I will continue taking even though it is providing only partial relief. Two events have plunged me into a deep than usual melancholic depression that I am only beginning to recover from and return to my basel…

Hi All, Great site a lot of useful information on here. Need some help please. My father has just been disagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (Called ALS and Lou Gehrig's Disease in US) at age of 82. Doctors have diagnosed it based on a subjective Nerve Conduction Scan (test nerve responses in 8 muscle groups on body). Is it possible to tell if this is Indica or Sativa?
If I had to describe the high, I would say that it is predominantly a head one, with some body high. Sorry if this is the wrong topic to post in, just let me know and I'll delete it. I couldn't find a more suitable topic for some reason.

Moving To Perth - Looking for help and advice
Good day fellow OZ Stoners. I just discovered this community. I will be moving to perth in January 2015. I lived in Wollongong back in 1989 for a year. After that I lived in Canada for 13 years. I have several close Australian friends who live in Canada and a few in Perth. My best friend moved to Perth a month ago and she has a close family member that requires medicinal edibles and/or Cannabutter. She has zero experience with this culture and I am eager to help her out. Problem is that I can't visit her for four months and am looking for a kind enough member to ask for some tips. Cheers Stoners Would really appreciate some help

Looking for medicinal cannabis users
Hi all, My name is Taylah Hill and I'm a journalist from a community radio station in Sydney called 2SER. I'm currently working on a current affairs story about the legalisation of medicinal cannabis, particularly as the Victorian Labor Party recently announced they will introduce legislation for legalisation if elected. I am looking to interview someone in Sydney who uses cannabis for medical purposes that can shed more light on the topic and I guess in a way advocate for legalisation. As I mentioned before it is for a radio station so I will only record your voice - you don't have to reveal your identity or personal information in the story, however I do hav…

Hi, I have severe emetophobia ( fear of vomiting) and although I am medicated to control it, this phobia dominates my life and always has since I was a child. i have heard that cannabis is an antiemetic and effective in controlling nausea and vomiting. Is this true? Any advice is appreciated.

Hi
This is sort of a last resort for me I have a stage 2 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and am undergoing radiation, I suffer horribly from side effects and have smoked marijuana in the past and it has been able to let me live my life without suffering the side effects and pain. My partner wasn't keen on me using it so I stopped. We have recently broken up. The content here within this cannabis community is for educational & entertainment purposes only. Tips: using vaporizer for cancer pain?
Hi folks, My sister-in-law has been suffering end-stage bowl/liver and bone cancer for some months - maybe not long to go now. As the chemo/radio/medication's efficacy wears off, her pain/nausea are escalating, and her appetite decreasing. She got a Volcano classic and some local Tassie bush-grown bud to try vaping. It's only day 3, so she's not sure how best to use it to help. She's ground up the bud, put a thin layer in the chamber, and filled a couple of bags on Temperature setting 6. It's a light vapour. She had a couple of bags on Day 1 and felt a bit stoned but no pain reduction, but slept better that night. Similar on Day 2, I think. I'd be interested in …
