Educating yourself so you can educate others is one way to help normalise Cannabis use (normalisation leads to acceptance). This is an easy to read article (USA centric though) but still relevant to Australians. "As legal and public views shift, we thought we'd take a look at the science of decriminalizing drugs. What can science actually answer about the effects of looser drug laws?Researchers know the most about the outcomes of decriminalizing marijuana. That's because decriminalization laws are much more common than legalization laws--we'll get to that next--and because many more states and nations have decriminalized marijuana than other recreational drugs. So re…

I have a question for anyone experienced with the inner workings of the US visa machine. I want to apply for the VWP. I've checked in with Customs and Border Protection in D.C and they say I'm eligible to apply for ESTA. Here come the tricky bit: Earlier this year I appeared in court charged with 'artificial cultivation of controlled plant' and 'possession of prescribed equipment'. I was not convicted. There was no initial arrest. My question is pretty simple: Will these two charges show up on a background check once I've landed in the US? ( Advice I have received suggests that only convictions will appear on a homeland security background check - second opinions …

Hello, new here. Medical cannabis almost seems certain to be introduced in the coming year in both NSW and Victoria. What about recreational use? This is what intesrests me. If they follow the US lead it should only be a short time afterward. Colorado medical was approved in 2000 and recreational 12 years later. Alaska, Oregon and Washington legalized in 1998 and have only just legalized recreational use = 14 years. There are obviously other examples but it seems we are headed likely towards a US style introduction in Australia and we can base this so far off what is happening. What do we think will happen over the next few years e.g. timeline of events. I…

Based on the available research here and overseas and our own professional experience we have reached the following conclusions: Illicit drug use undoubtedly results in both primary and secondary harm, particularly for de…

Hi - Please can anyone inform me as to current laws around hydro retailers supplying equipment such as carbon filters, auto trimmers and the like? I heard there have been laws in place in SA for example controlling sale. What about the online shops? You need a legitimate reason for purchasing these types of products... what gives?
