Hi I'm new and was wondering if anyone knows about changing nutrient tanks over for fresh ones - if you keep the TDS at a pretty fixed level by adding water when its higher and nutrients + water when its lower, how often do you change the whole tank for a fresh, flushed and clean one? I can see a sediment (white) on the bottom of the rez but the nute solution looks clear? My plants seem to be loving it by the way but I figure I will need to do a changeover eventually or the airponic sprayers are supposed to clog (they've been going since Aug 10 with no visible reduction in the spray) I'm keeping the ph at around 5.8 and TDS at around 1100 - I just posted some pix of …

I'm from the old school when we grew only during the summer using found land, so this indoor stuff is all new to me. If we did grow indoors it was with a fluro in a wardrobe or cupboard and the plants were always sickly. I have planted 8 seeds in perlite only with a simple gravity, ( ph adjusted, nutrient) water flow to the small pots sitting on sponges. - with a 400w 3 ft above the pots. I pretty much dropped the seeds on the surface and they slid a little through the perlite. There just seems to be too much airspace for roots to take hold, should I have mixed the perlite with any indoor potting mix? It's only been 24 hrs, so nothing has sprouted yet. Does the perli…

I'm using the Mr. Green: I Grow Chronic - http://pot.tv/archive/shows/pottvshowse-2993.html - technique in growing. He uses a reservoir and water pump under the growing tray to feed the plants. He doesn't say how often to change the water, though. Any ideas?

Ok...I've just finished my first grow...all and all very sucessfull. however, theere are many areas I can do better. I used hot-coco for the last grow and was not impressed. The bugs, and mess. So I was thinking of going to somthing that drains better...So I could water more often. anyways ...I'd like some advice...what do you guys use and why? I have it set-up recycling the water( for space and practicality reasons) Also if anyone could post a pic of how I should step up my watering. I don't know really what I'm doing...what hard ware like T and L joints, drippers will I need. I was also thinking of growing organic...anyone have any opinions. is there a quaility d…

ok, I picked up my light and fan today, so I am getting near ready to order my clones, so I need some advice as to which medium to use, setup will be as follows: Cabinet 1m x 1m x 2m (can be changed if needed) 1 x 400w light 1 x 250mm continuous exhaust fan 1 x oscilating pedastool fan Will be using White Rhino clones Will be hand watering I was going to use soil, as from what I have read soil grown plants taste better. If soil, what mix is best (brand etc) If not soil can someone suggest a better alternative, remembering they will be hand watered (plus I know fuck all about hydro) Now for a couple of off topic questions: Can clones go straight into final…

hey all i wanna grow outdoors thio year, and i only wanna at tops check my plants once a week to top off water in my res. ill be using prolly a 50L or 2 x 50L big buckets, which i will camo in the bushes. i was wondering, if i get like some rubber tubing, a little grommit and a dripper ring, or one of thoes dripper stakes, does that mean that it will drip 4L an hour only if the dripper ring dripped 4L of cause, but the one i looked at was 4L p/hour. how much watering do outdoor plants need ? how often will i have to fill up my buckets. ta

seems theres a new canna range, dont think we can get in aus at the moment but worth a look. CANNA proudly presents the revolutionary and newly developed organic product line: "BIOCANNA". BIOCANNA products are 100% natural and meet all the requirements for organic farming. This means they are legally checked and guaranteed ORGANIC! BioVega, BioFlores and BioBOOST are vegetable-based and do not contain any animal residual products. The main advantage of this is that the product's composition is much better tuned to the plant's needs. An additional advantage is that the product cannot contain any animal pathogenic organisms, such as influenza viruses (for example chicken …

Thought I'd try adding some oxyplus to my recirculating system because the roots were taking on a slight brownish tinge. While I was at it I also added some PK 13-14 to give the buds a little extra treat. Now my nutrient water has gone a little cloudy, is this normal using these products ??

Hi guys, I plan to start my first grow sometime this week, however I'd prefer to get my medium/nutrient situation sorted before I start so I can have a solid plan! My grow will be between 2 small cabinets, one for mother/parent plants and the other for flowering. (mainly) Due to the small cabinet sizes I will be using CFL's for lighting. This grow will be a stealth one, and I'd like to keep maintenance to a minimum and as such I have ruled out hydroponics(for the time being). At this stage I am leaning towards using soil/perlite as a growing medium as it seems to be more resistant to ph fluctuations and nutrient issues. However I have seen some decent grow…
