allrite.. now ive heard of growing along the ground by tying up your plants etc, which i plan to do this year because i totally farked up last years grow.. i want to grow a plant along the ground & when its around 8ft long.. i want to bend the main stem in the middle of the plant towards the ground & put a little nick in it & cover it with dirt.. as ive heard it can start to grow roots from there.. the bigger the root system, the bigger the plant can grow because it can uptake more stuff right ? stuff being nutrients & water & whatnot.. so if i was to have a plant with 2 root systems, wouldnt that be twice as good as one ? :scratchin oh, an…

Starting my first grow soon, was going to grow 15 plant's 5 foot high under 3 x 600watt HPS's. Would I get a better yield if I grew 30 plants 3 foot high?. What I'm thinking is that there is no point growing them 5-6 foot if the light isn't going to penertrate to the lower buds. So am I better off growing twice as many half as high to expose more bud to light?.

This probably seems like the sort of question OS must have covered at least a thousand times before, but I wasn't able to find a really satisfactory answer, so I apologise in advance if it seems like I haven't done my reading. How much wattage do we actually need to use to grow in an indoor area of around half a square metre? A figure I've seen quoted here is "at least 400 watts per square metre" however I'm also led to believe that more wattage equals a faster, more efficient grow. My wife seems to think that we'll need a 1000w lamp to ensure the yield is high and at this stage we really just want to have a quickly grown harvest prior to disassembling for a month or…

does this work??? "Interrupted flowering Also known as ``buddus interruptus'', the procedure is to switch the lights to 24/0 for a day or two about at the end of the fifth week of flowering, when the buds seem to stall out. It should only be done once during the crop, and for no more than two days. The best technique is to switch for one day, wait a couple of days to observe the effect, and then give it one more day if the buds haven't responded. This is not the same as ``double budding'', as the plant is never actually kicked into vegetative growth. If the plants react well, you will see tufts of additional flowering parts standing out from the sides of the buds li…

hey, i got a few plants under a 400w in a cupboard, but theres 1 plant im mainly focusing on, because it looks the most promising. its about 3.4-4ft tall, and stems coming off are about 30cm long.. whats the best way to grow it to maximise my bud ? should i vegitate the plants a bit longer to make bigger stems etc.. ive heard of chopping the top growth of a stem at like 8 nodes ? to promote bigger/fatter stems or somthing ? whats the best thing to do ? its currently in a 35ltr pot, and only feeding it nuts by water, ph adjusted of cause. what other fertilisers should i buy ?

TALL STORIES 1 2

I can’t count the number of ridiculous stories that I have heard from people (usually at a party or pub after a few beers), or read on grow forums about this mysterious grower-friend and their even more mysterious growing methods. Common tall tales include the dude that has 50 (or more!) eight foot tall Christmas trees in his basement (anyone with 50+ plants would keep their mouth shut). Or the bloke who hangs his plants or buds upside down so that "the resins would 'drain' into the buds"….. (resins don't 'drain', period). Or their friend who sprays their buds with (pick one)… water, assorted fruit juices, semen, dissolved contraceptive pills, piss from an ovulating gi…

How long can I wait before I need to clone? My plants are probably 2-3 weeks into flowering. But some I still am unsure about the sex of some plants, especially the best one that I want to clone off.

Hi everyone I am new to growing but not to smoking haha. I am moving out to live with my brother and I am going to start growing and I have cruised threw all the forums, alltho a good source of information I still need to be given personal advice. I want to grow a certain type strand but I do not know how to get the seeds? Thats my first question My next question is would it be ok to grow say 4 plants with a green house type material over them outside in like a box? What I mean by that is a wooden frame with green house mesh type stuff so its harder to make out the plants and have that like beside the shed. Will it get the required sunlight that it needs Thats my secon…

I have a few pots (clayballs) running at the moment and in a few I have more than one sprout - in one case the two (hopefully) sisters are now about 6" tall, really really bushy (see pic) and i can't decide which, if either, should be the unlucky loser :scratchin does anyone have any experience with this? I'd hate to make the wrong decision

:scratchin These grow boxes are what I have used since switching to indoors growing. I made these initially following the flood and drain principals, and stuck with these since. They are cheap to make, easy to setup and maintain and they produce. Most bits come from hardware shops. So lets get growing then- What you will need- 2 stacker storage crates, Flood and drain componets-(mushroom and drain) I use the ones off the bigger flood and drain tables just to make sure nothing gets blocked, Air pump, air stone and a one way valve prevents water going up the air line the wrong way. Approx 500 - 600 litre water pump if you only fit the flood and drain. You w…

Hey everyone Just wanted to know if the tech i used for outdoors would be a good 1 for indoors What i normaly do is place some seeds into a small clear glass, fill about halfway with water and leave them in a spot that gets plenty of sunlight for about 2-3 days. After that you can see about 3mm of it sprouting and is ready to be put into the planting medium. is this way ok for indoors? As ive found this way to be the most effective outdoors in not only speed of growth but also the health of the plant everytime ! thanks for your thoughts

I have been uber keen the last few months to give growing a shot. Caus to be honest, im realy tired of paying money for a weed. I have considered doing the whole indoor growning thing, and after a bit of thinking i have decided that its just not for me. I dont have a large amount of income to support lighting systems or any of that serious equiptment. All i want is a decent ounce or 2 to kick me off and basicly have a bit of fun. Has any one previously just let their grass take its own course? If so would you mind sharing a few hints / tricks? Also some cover up tips would be much apreciated. Im not all that keen on prudly displaying my bounty to the neighbo…
