hi all. i'm fixing to do a small gorilla grow this season in some lantana on the edge of reedy wet land . cut a tunnel through the lantana [surprisingly easy to do] to waters edge. stomped down some growth to make a super stealthy spot. Now my cunning plan is: fill some green[say no to plastic] shopping bags with chunky coco mulch [they hold an easy 25 liter] and place em' so there in about about 2 in of water. now, i hope the airy free draining nature of coco will prevent the evil toxic layer from forming.do you think i'm on the money, or am i just going to end up with bonsai cannabis?...ta

A couple of times in chat, it has been ask when the next full moon is. Me being the resourceful person that I am, happen to have some handy links that makes finding this sort of thing out. I thought this information would be beneficial to outdoor growers. However, I believe this information is only relevant to those living in Australia. Geoscience Australia has an Astronomical Information site. On this site there are links to calculate your Sunrise, Sunset & Twilight Times, Moonrise & Moonset times, and Sun and Moon Azimuth & Elevation. There is also a link to MOON PHASE DATA. I had planned on making two neat and pretty tables in this post with all the…

Hey dudes I decided to start my own thread for my grow so I don't keep on making new ones and can keep everything based in one thread. Tried growing a few times but never gotten a harvest , so guess im still a noob haha. Heres whats been happening: A mate and I got some apparent white russian seeds from a friend, started off with 10 and have now got 5 left. We started germinating them on the 2nd of september and planted them in a greenhouse in the bush on the 4th in some seed raising mix. They didn't receive enough care which caused some of them to cark it and the other ones with a very slow growth rate... Last Thursday we brought them indoors under a 400 W HPS on 18/6 an…

I recently watched Jorge Cervantes Ultimate Grow DVD 2, the one where he goes to spain to look at outdoor gardens (its great, if you havn't seen this guys dvds just visit piratebay.org and get the torrent). At one point in the film he talks about flowering out clones, it looked like he had taken clones, waited for roots and a bit of growth (so like 3 weeks veg) then he put them outside, they flower just as a main cola and were less than a foot tall, plus the pots could be kept really small too. I live in melbourne, in a second level apartment. I was thinking i could adopt a similar method by using clones and flowering them in a window box. The reason for this is that i…

i have read a lot of people say that you need to buy this soil or that soil when you grow in the bush. and that the hole needs to be this by that (what a bunch of cobblers) that just adds to your work load and in my book a waste of time. here are my white heaven plants in the bush in some gutless white sandy soil, i have done nothing but dig a little hole for each of them and thrown them in,i threw around a bit of dynamic lifter, and i will feed with fish emulsion and seasol with a bit of molasses thrown in now and again. i intend to water every 3rd day.

Hi all, I'm just wondering if anyone can help me find out what strain I've got... I put the seeds in the ground about 8 weeks ago & now they're about 10 - 15cm tall & they're flowering. Unfortunately I have no idea what strains they are because they're the result of my 20 years of cross breeding, all I know from my growing experience is they look sativaish, with a little bit of indica. (I've never been one for names). I'm hoping that someone can give me an idea as to what they think they are, because my friend wants to know the "name". I just call it "my smoke" & laugh. So to help him out can anyone throw him a name please??

Hi Guys, I am just in the process of revegging some sativas from my grow room with the plan to throw them outdoors?....I currently have them on 24 hours light and I was wondering if I threw them outdoors now if they would start to flower again.....I have heard that Fathers day in September is a good time....should I wait a few extra weeks? ...also if I threw them outdoors from 24 hour light to about 14 hours would they start to flower again?

hey every one who sees this post! i have been growing the same strain of white widow now for about 5 years due to breeding them my self, they where origanlly ordered from nirvana seeds. My question is that i would really like to grow a smaller strain but i have never worked with any thing other than my ww, when i first recievied them 5yrs ago i never grew indoors so i used some what tall phenos they normally get about 4-6 feet tall. Im using 15 inc pots. bascily to make a long story short im looking for a strain that normally gets 3-4 feet with somewhere around the same potency as the white widow. I do know as well most seed companys let you know the height, but I grow fr…

Hi all. This summer, i've been experimenting with outdoor hydro (hand watered). With good success. I have a strain that only needs to be veged under lights (or outside) for a few weeks and then when i change it to 12/12 i get a pnd easy. What i've been doing is getting a clone, getting legs on it under fluros, then i put it under a light for 18hrs a day for a few weeks (handwatering also). When it is big enough, i move it into a 50ltr pot. At the same time, i take a few clones off it for my next plant. So roughly every 5 weeks i'm putting a plant out to flower and harvesting one. To make sure the plant has 12/12 i bring it in the shed every night before 6pm. It's b…
