General Cultivation Q&A

I was at my local kmart the other day and I saw a bottle of Thrive concentrated tomato fert, now i was told by a fellow grower that good,But would like some second oppions.ill get the trace elements an that if needed,But the fact its not posions and is for vegitables makes me feel its pretty organic , I like to stick to non chemicals

OMG I Flushed My plant cos i was told it was good for`em, Only to read afterwards that it should be done right befor Harvest, well,my skunk`s got a month left or so,have i just Killed my baby???

My NL is in flowering stage of 6th week or so,and today i noticed kinda lightgrey soillumbs on top in the pot,is this Mould? and most important,how do i prevent it?

What conditions do pot plants need to grow? like the humidity, level of light...all the usual??? I know it probably varies with the breed of the plant but i have no idea what kind mine are so some general information would really help, i dont want my babies dieing before they have a chance to be smoked

i was wondering if anyone has tried using bong water to water there mj and if its worked and made a difference?

Hi I'm new to indoor growing and just planted 3 seeds they are 5 days old I have used a 50 50 perlite potting mix and will be growing them in a grow cupboard .I'm using a 400wat hps an 400wat power plant an a 120 wat fan.i have No idea on the strain but will keep you all posted an as soon as they are at a nice size pics will come, Not sure what eles to post thanks for any ideas for a fellow new grower. My one plant is 54 days into flowering but is now producing seeds, should i harvest now or let it flower to full term and if so will the potency of the bud be reduced because of the seeds.Thanks as always people.

yeah im thinking maybe i should add some nutes but am clueless about it all, are they for veg stage or flowering or both? i want to keep the grow as organic and natural as possible so i dont have that chemical taste when smoking it, so what can i use apart from manure and stuff which is going to stink too much in an indoor grow, specially coming into summer and something easily available, should i just use osmocote or something from the local shop? im only growing like 9 babys right now, dont need a shitload of stuff or real expensive stuff...

Well I today received my seeds (Thx my friend) I have planted 9 very berry's (OZCO – seeds) and 5 ducksfeet (Ducksfoot - Wally Duck) I soaked a egg carton in drinking water. I then proceeded to fill up the cups with seed raising mix then planted my seeds. I watered them slightly. They are sitting in a box full of seed raising mix under my desk The box is wrapped in a blanket and a steel top covering it (With air holes). This is next to a heater that I keep going most of the time. 12 seeds total were planted in this manner 4 ducks and 8 Berry’s. I also planted a seed of each strain in separate pots filled with seed raising mix. They were then put into empty fish ta…

alright here we go this has helped many ppl b4 and i think it might help some people here this method is called the PAPER TOWL METHOD ok here we go STEP 1 soak ure seeds in a cup of water for 6 hours STEP 2 get a plastic dish not glass i find that glass gets to cold ok get some apaer towls lie them down on the plate and soak them STEP 3 get the seeds out of the cup and place them on the paper towl 1 inch apart from each other STEP 4 then get 1 more paper towl and lay it on top of the seeds then put in a warm dark place and wait till u see a little tap root wait for it to get about 1 cm long STEP 5 get a pot full of soil and put about a 3cm hole in it just …

one of my plants is ~3.5 weeks old and has four decent sets of leaves aswell as the intial 4 leaves and four more sets of growths out the top which look like they want to make up the 7th set. Aswell as this theres like 10 new smaller leaves coming out of each side of every point where a stem branches off main stem. this is my first time growing but this seems like alot of leaves. is this more than usual? (i've been using growrite if that matters) is this a good or bad thing?? my mate's mate who think he knows everything bout weed, says to chop off all the lower leaves any tips or pointers?? Pete

G'day peoples, Getting ready to put together a small bubbler set-up, (couple of tubs) in a fairly small space (1.2m X 0.5m). Been doing a bit of reading on the boards and it seems everyone has a reservoir & control bucket set-up. Is this purely for ease of maintenance with respect to topping up water and nute levels or does it serve another purpose? I'm new to bringing the garden indoors and am trying to keep it simple (Because (a) it's my first indoor gardening excursion and ( I have limited space). I am wondering if the res & control bucket are necessary. The how-to's i've seen around about constructing a bubbler would indicate they are independent unit…
