Hi all, first time on here so give me a break if sounds bit stupid Heres the story, I've grown a bunch outdoors but have started trying the girls indoors. I tried first time and ran coco peat under a 600w in a tent on a run to waste. I never really bothered with PH and ec just followed the instructions on the back of the bottles of A&B. Unfortunatly I have to go away for 3-5 days at a time and sometimes a full 7 days. This didnt work caus i think I overwaterd it using a pump and a timer. Any way I got spider mite and couldnt bring em back, was too far gone. So I've decided to make it easier and am running rocks with clones in rockwool on a recirculating system…

My Amsterdam seeds got raped so I managed to find some bag seed of a friend. Not the best option but I can always force it to flower before it gets too big. Using a standard aerogarden with 17/7 light (Can't change the cycle, going out to look for an electric timer tomorrow. Until then I'll have to manually click the lights) There is a basil plant, a mint plant and chive sprouts at the front of the garden, afraid I need that as a beard in case a manager or something comes over. I'll need advice to manage the overpowering bud smell when it comes up. Anyway, seeds were just inserted and fed a starter nutrient. 4 seeds in total. Pictures will come up when I get some sprout…

I've heard that adding honey can produce a greater yield by increasing bud density. Is there any truth to this and is there some scientific understanding that would support the practice? Answers appreciated.

Hi Guys, I've put together a fairly rudimentary diagram of a wardrobe conversion I am thinking about putting together. I was thinking about a 250W bulb with reflector (that can be adjusted vertically depending on the stage of the plants), as I believe a 400W globe would be too much? Given I would only be growing 1-2 plants at a time, would it be worth inserting a fan into the top for circulation? At this stage I am thinking of a soil grow, simply putting the pots in the bottom with a light overhead. Does this seem a little strange? I'm guessing so, all of the wardrobe conversions I have seen on the forums have all been hydro set ups. Thanks for your help!! st…

I have 2 * 25cm exhaust fans in my Cupboard. Since cutting the holes massive amounts to light pour out the back. So i tried nailing some cotton sheets over the holes, but it cuts to much of my air flow down. My Question, What will stop light but allow air flow ? I'm sure im not the only person to have this problem as most setups involve both light and ventilation holes.

Hello everyone. I have grown 2 plants, both were bagseed from nice bud which wasnt what i would call seedy gear. Anyways had them on flower cycle 12/12 for about a week now and have noticed that one has started developing what i think are male flowers but as i am a first time grower i obviously want to seek some advice before i do something drastic.. First pic is from afar of said balls (which are occuring all over the place) 2nd of the same set except i have removed a leaf for the photo, and for the third i removed the leaf and the long spikey leaf (that can be seen in the 2nd pic) growing from under the questionable balls. The other plant has lots of spots develo…

I notice a lot of trouble from folks on this topic , particularly in australia, but there is a few guidelines you can follow. I have done this many times , and here is the criteria i use. firstly i will think carefully about what situation my grow will be , indoor , outdoor , a wet or dry climate , tropical , temperate etc . the next step is to do some research on what strains will suit my grow situation , most likely reading breeder or seed seller information to get a basic idea, thirdly dont just assume what the seller of the seed says about its potential ,, do more research , read a few grow reports and smoke reports from folks that have tried the strain you are …

Water-based Agriculture Dates Back Centuries The History of Hydroponics by Danny Danko Hydroponic cultivation—the growing of plants without soil—is a science as ancient as the fabled Hanging Gardens of Babylon and as modern as a future NASA mission to Mars. Over the centuries, the crude agricultural techniques of the Babylonians and Aztecs have been refined into space-age plastic systems in which plants literally defy gravity—growing toward a centrally placed light source like planets revolving around the sun. One day, hydroponics may ultimately provide solutions for massive global problems such as feeding the developing world, combating deforestation, and growing herb …
