Hi, Cheers for checking out my thread. So here is the story so far: I am completely new to growing Herb. I've decided to get myself a nice little indoor set up going as soon as I have the funds. Probably going to buy seeds through PS or SB but probably bagseed to begin with as I figure out how to do it properly. Now, I have done my fair share of reading on this site and others like it and I'm pretty sure I have got the gist of it Re growing and ordering seeds online. But there are still a few (major) things I need answered or cleared up before I get going. Ill give you a brief rundown of what the setup will most likely include (and questions): - Grow box (home-made w…

Or something like that... Well I picked up some CFL's in Woolies today, they are "4100K - Cool Day Light", I got 20 watters coz they didn't have anything higher... The question is... What colour spectrum am I looking at with these 4100K's??? I so fucking confused now! Cheers. ~M.

Hi all this is my first grow in the new drobe everything is running great except that the colas are not looking as good as they should be for 5 weeks (as I have grown this strain few times before) as I discussed in the chat room with people I think it may come down to using an oldish globe?? I swapped for a better one so will see what happens from here....... all nutrients same as usual and all that.......but it has been bloody hot this summer, relentless, so maybe this is part of he cause?? any ideas ?? The strain is NL#1

Hey everyone. I am not very good when it comes to hands on practical skills etc. Thankfully my brother has set up a hydroponics system in my room. It is only 1.2m x 1.2m on the base, but has a 1000w light. I was told by the hydro shop that 1000w for such a space will fry the plants (too hot), but we have done some tests and while the recommended maximum using the lighting calculator is 930w, we have tested the temperature and it doesn't get too hot. I also have air conditioning which our tests have shown dramatically reduce the grow room temperature if needed. I know next to nothing about this. My brother is showing me the way. however my brother has only ever use…

G'day All, I realise that this question probably comes down to strain specific, however, can anyone offer me a general rule of thumb for stretching capacities of sativa and indica strains? I have just switched these ones to 12/12 yesterday. 2 on the left are mango ( papaya ) - mainly indica strain, and the one on the right is an OG haze x skunk - mainly sativa, and was curious as to whether the sativa is going to " outstretch " the indica, and if so, how to combat this? Apologies for the bluriness - mobile phone + the shakes. THCME

I'm considering setting up a small hydroponics operation, say 3-5 plants, in my parents house. There is a perfect area, the right size, in a disused and hard to get to basement where i'm 100% sure my parents never go and will not notice anything. The only problem is; i'm wondering how much having a small hydroponics setup will cost on our electricity bill, for it its too much of a spike my parents are sure to know. Can anybody tell me roughly how much a small hydroponics setup will cost? much appreciated.

Hi all, just been reading integral hydroponics. The author says that he prefers to have smaller but numerous plants. I have heard some people prefer a couple of large plants rather than numerous small ones. Which would be amoretti eficient and higher yielding way provided all our factors(temp, humidity etc) are ideal? And what would be the best time? How many weeks for veg and how many weeks for flower. I am currnetly on 5 veg and 8 flower any feedback will be greatly appreciated

hi all, my grow room is not to high, about 6foot. i have 2 plants with a 400w HPS each. both my plants now are monsters, i can only fit 2 in the room, they have been tied back to the light does not burn them. so i wont be doing that again. ive been told i should grom about 6 little plants then flower them, he also said i should use perlite and hand water them. atm im using flood n drain with expanded clay. just wondering if its worth switching to perlite, or keep the recuirculating system.
